Color of the Moment: Driftwood
Today the spotlight is on one of our all-time favorite colors: Driftwood.

Inspired by nature, this dynamic neutral color has been a hit since we introduced it in our Lush® glass tile collection in 2008.
We first debuted the color in a 1×1 frosted and glossy blend (pictured below).
Now well established as a one of modwalls® MVCs (Most Valuable Colors), last month we introduced the color in our Lush® 4×12 “Major” subway tile line, which is quickly becoming our hottest glass tile size.
Our Lush® 4×12 Driftwood tile is sold by the square foot sheet and each sheet has three 4″x12″ tiles stacked “straight-joint.” The sheets of tile can be installed as is, or you can peel each tile off of its mesh-backing to install “brick-joint” or staggered, like any traditional brick-tile installation. (Read more about brick-joint and straight joint tile installation here: http://designernotes.modwalls.com/tag/brick-joint-tile/).
Driftwood… Do it!

Subway Tile Face-Off!
In this corner we have modwalls® subway tiles in sizes 4×12, 3×6, 2×8, 1×4, 1×2 and 1/2×2 all installed OFFSET with a BRICK joint installation:
And in this corner, the same subway tiles from modwalls® all installed STACKED or STRAIGHT joint:

Lush 1x4 Lemongrass. It's sold on sheets with stacked tiles that are ready to install straight joint.
So, who wins in this battle royale?
Does your dream kitchen or bathroom include tiles that are offset, brick joint, or is stacked, straight joint tile more your style?
