Just do it! It’s time to make your mark on the heart of your home.
When the editors of Kitchens magazine decided to give us some press in their spring 2011 issue, they titled the article “Making a Splash”. It’s a four page spread on personalizing your kitchen backsplash. The article tells a bit of our story and showcases some fun, colorful and very personal kitchen tile backsplashes which are installed in the homes of our customers.
In an economic climate such as this, conventional wisdom says to go neutral and beige when doing updates to your home. But I think differently- in a climate such as this, when we are spending more and more time on life’s simpler pleasures, such as nesting at home and cooking with family and friends; isn’t it all the more important to have your kitchen backsplash tile reflect your personality? You’ll have so much more enjoyment in your home when it “rises up to meet you” each time you enter. And I’d venture a guess that if and when you decide to sell, it will attract like minded people who’ll want make it their home too. In fact, this has happened to me. For my last home I designed an orange and grey kitchen and a crazy bathroom with 37 colors of 4” glazed ceramic tile. It was bright, colorful and fun; and it sold in record time with multiple offers, all because of those brightly tiled rooms!
So I say go ahead and be happy! Get your color and style on in your kitchen. If you’re looking for the perfect fit in backsplash tile, consider us. At modwalls we design and sell a wide variety of tile inspired by mid century modern architecture and design. And if beige truly makes you happy, we’ve got that too!
